News Release
12-25 and 12-26-2015

At approximately 6:34pm, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Vine Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, and during the investigation, officers located an undisclosed amount of Marijuana in plain view inside the residence. After further subsequent investigation, officers arrested 25 year old Kendra Malone of Kennett for possession of marijuana. Malone was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

At approximately 9:57pm, officers were advised of a subject who had been seen prowling around the storage containers behind Wal-Mart had fled on foot after noticing he was being watched. Officers located the individual and subsequently arrested 44 year old Ricky Hamlett of Kennett for possession of drug paraphernalia. Hamlett was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 10:43pm, officers were flagged down and advised of a subject who was apparently passed out behind the steering wheel of his vehicle which was stationary in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Upon arrival, and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 22 year old Ian Wilson of Hayti for Driving While Intoxicated-Drugs and for Possession of Marijuana. Due to his intoxication level, Wilson was later transported by the Medic One Ambulance Service to the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center Emergency Room where he was released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons for each charge and allowed to seek medical treatment pending his court date.

At approximately 11:20pm, officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole Office in reference to a person with a warrant. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 41 year old Ronald Mann of Kennett on an active warrant which had been issued through the Missouri Probation and Parole Board. Mann was transported to and held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only with no bond.

At approximately 3:34am, officers arrested 21 year old Artez Williams of Kennett on an active Kennett Municipal warrant charging him with failure to obey on the original charge of no seat belt. Williams later posted a bond of $42.50 and was released with a new court date.

At approximately 4:45am, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of West Ninth Street in reference to loud music coming from a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers subsequently located the owner and advised him to turn to the music down and to keep it down. At approximately 5:22am, officers were dispatched back to the same residence with the same reference. Upon arrival, officers then subsequently arrested 45 year old Otis Yancey of Kennett for Peace Disturbance. Yancey was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

At approximately 5:08am, officers arrested 29 year old Hershel Howard of Manila Arkansas on an active Kennett Municipal warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of No Drivers License. Howard was transported to and held in the Dunklin County Justice Center with a bond of $100 cash only.
