On March 16, 2016, Kennett Officers were following up on leads regarding
narcotics. The investigation led to a traffic stop on Varner and N. Baldwin
streets in Kennett. During the duration of the traffic stop a large undisclosed amount of Methamphetamine was found in a hidden compartment in the vehicle along with several bags of K2. The street value of the recovered methamphetamine
was estimated at 21,000 dollars.

This incident led to the arrest of Gary
King from Hayti and Emanuel Martinez from Braggadocio. Both were placed in
custody at the Dunklin County Jail where they remain on a 150,000.00 bond.

The investigation continued and more leads were found. Kennett
Officers followed up with a search warrant for a residence on government
housing. The search warrant led to the arrest of Tory Cole for an
undisclosed amount of K2. He is being charged with possession of a
controlled substance.

This investigation is of the utmost importance to the Kennett Police Department due to the recent overdoses of K2.
