11-8-2015 & 11-9-2015

At approximately 6:38pm, officers arrested 26 year old Jessica Scott of Clarkton on a Dunklin County warrant charging her with Trespassing. Scott was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only with a bond of $500.00 cash only.

At approximately 2:13am, officers conducted a traffic stop on Saint Francis near Walnut Street. During the stop, officers subsequently arrested 22 year old Justin Stokes of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Stokes was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s Office.

11-7-2015 & 11-8-2015

At approximately 1:05am, officers arrested 32 year old Mark Davidson on a Kennett Municipal Warrant for Failure to Obey Judge’s Orders on the original charges of No Operators License and No seat Belt. Davidson was unable to post bond therefore he was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only with a bond of $165.
At approximately 1:17am, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Louis Street in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival and while investigating the reported burglary, officers located an undisclosed amount of Methamphetamine in plain view inside the residence. Officers arrested 31 year old Linda Davis of Kennett for Possession of Methamphetamine and transported her to the Dunklin County Justice Center. Upon arrival at the Justice Center and during a routine check of the patrol vehicle, the arresting officer located more Methamphetamine. During a further search of Davis by a female jail staff member, officers were able to recover even more Methamphetamine from inside her undergarments. Davis was then processed into the facility and was placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s Office.
At approximately 3:17am, officers arrested 29 year old Ashley Newsom of Campbell on a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of Stealing and No Insurance with a bond of $260 cash only, a Malden Municipal warrant charging her with failure to appear on the original charge of shoplifting and resisting arrest with a bond of $1331 cash only, a Parma Municipal warrant charging her with Improper Registration and No Insurance with a bond of $275 cash only, and on a Gideon Municipal warrant charging her with failure to appear on the original charge of a traffic offense with a bond of $322 cash only. Newsom was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrants only.
At approximately 4:12am, officers arrested 22 year old Joshua Queen of Kennett on a Stoddard County warrant of failure to appear on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana. Queen was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center with a bond of $5000.00.

11-3-2015 & 11-4-2015

At approximately 5:54pm, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Avenue in reference to a vicious dog running loose. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers were able to locate the dog’s owner. The owner, Lesslie Franks of Kennett, was cited and for violating the leash law ordinance as well as the dangerous/vicious animal ordinance then released pending her court date.

At approximately 6:03pm, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Starnes Street in reference to a vehicle driving in a careless manner. While enroute, officers were advised that another call came in reporting that the vehicle had crashed into a ditch. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested 56 year old Cynthia Pickard of Kennett for Driving While Intoxicated. Pickard was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending her court date.

11-1-2015 & 11-2-2015

At approximately 7:30pm, while officers were enroute to a residence in the 600 block of Wayne to look for an individual with a felony warrant, officers observed the subject walking near the intersection of North Walnut and North Street. As the officers made contact with the individual, he fled on foot during which a foot pursuit ensued. Officers subsequently apprehended and arrested 28 year old Frederick Tillman of Kennett. Tillman was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant which was issued through the Missouri Probation and Parole Board for a Violation of the terms of his Parole and also placed on a twenty-four hour hold pending the filing of formal charges by the Dunklin County Prosecutor’s office for Resisting Arrest for a Felony.

At approximately 10:17pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on First Street near the Super 8 hotel parking lot with a vehicle for a violation of the posted speed limit. During the stop, the driver, 46 year old Jimmy Cannon of Osceola Arkansas was arrested on a Dunklin County warrant charging him with Burglary 1st Degree. Cannon was held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant only and with a bond of $40,000.00.

On 10/31/2015 Officers discovered that the city Humane department had been broken into and approximately 250 gallons of dog food and other miscellaneous items have been stolen. This incident is currently under investigation.

On 11/01/2015 02:44pm Officers arrested Robbie Morgan JR on 7th street, city warrant $350 cash only for FTA

On Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 09:00 Kennett Officers went to the 200 block of S. Vandeventer to check a residence for an individual that was wanted on a warrant. When officers made contact with the resident they observed some narcotics and paraphernalia laying in plain view. Officers arrested Robert C. Davis age 24 of Kennett on the Dunklin County Warrant and he was also arrested for Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Distribute. Davis was transported to the Dunklin County Jail.

On Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 10:20 Kennett Officers arrested Marsha D. Davis age 39 of Kennett on 3 City Of Kennett warrants for Failed To Appear and 3 Butler County Warrants for Failed To Appear and Probation Violation. Davis was transported to the Dunklin County Jail.

On October 26, 2015, Kennett Police Department’s bike patrol unit, while on routine patrol, gained information regarding a robbery that had occurred in Steele MO.

After validating the information with Steele PD,
Kennett Officers went to the Super 8 Motel and arrested Nicole Williams and
Trevor Grice for investigation of Armed Robbery, per the Steele Police Department. They were transported without incident, and held at the Dunklin
County Jail, pending further investigation from the Steele PD.

10-26&27-2015

At approximately 8:38pm, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Beaton and Franklin Streets in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers learned that a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up driven by 21 year old Jacob Coffer of Kennett, had turned north onto Franklin off of Beaton Street and struck a tree. There were no reported injuries in the accident and a report was completed for the driver’s insurance purposes.
At approximately 9:07pm, officers were dispatched to the Casey’s Convenience Store on St. Francis Street in reference to a fight in progress involving employees. Upon arrival and after subsequent investigation, officers arrested 23 year old Quintrell Love of Kennett for common assault. Love was also arrested on an un-related Kennett Municipal warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of no driver’s license. Love was released on a Kennett Municipal Court Summons for the assault pending her court date however held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant with a bond of $155.

At approximately 10:16pm, officers made contact with an individual who they observed prowling around vehicles in the Cottonwood Plaza off of Independence Avenue. Upon further investigation, officers subsequently arrested 33 year old Aaron McDaniel of Kennett for Possession of Marijuana. McDaniel was later released on a Kennett Municipal Court summons pending his court date.

On Monday October 26, 2015 at 09:00 Kennett Officers arrested Kamryn Wayne Smith age 23 of Kennett on a Poplar Bluff city warrant. Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Dunklin County Jail.

On Monday October 26, 2015 at 3:50 p.m. Kennett Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a Dodge truck for a traffic violation. The vehicle lead officers from the Kennett Police Department and Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department on a high speed chase that continued for a short time period throughout several Dunklin County roads. The pursuit ended when the vehicle attempted to take a curve at a high rate of speed and overturned. The driver a 13 year old male was taken into custody and transported to the Kennett Police Department and later was taken to the Bloomfield Detention Center.

On Wednesday October 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter to take a report of a shoplifting. When officers arrived they were directed to the rear of the store where store loss prevention had to suspects detained. At this time officers made contact with the suspects Denisa Dodd age 49 of Rector Arkansas and Autumn Pickard age 35 of Rector Arkansas. At this time both were issued a summons for Shoplifting and was given a court date in the Kennett Municipal Court.

On Wednesday October 21, 2015 at 12:40 Kennett Officers were dispatched to the Missouri Probation and Parole office to arrest Remer Wyrick age 63 of Kennett on Probation Violation. AT this time he was taken into custody and transported to the Dunklin County Jail.
